Champs 1Thirteen is certainly a lucky number at Emeth! Three more members of the girls’ Comets Team came home from the final state meet of the season with state champion titles, bringing the total number of 2014 state champions from Emeth Gymnastics up to thirteen!

Eleven-year-old Kylie Brown is the Level 3 state champion on bars. “I am so happy and excited that I won!” says Kylie. “It’s awesome, and it’s all because of my coaches. JanetNikkiTaylorJim, and Anna have all helped me so much. They taught me how to think, how to keep correct form, and how to focus 110%.”

Ten-year-old Jordan Rulong earned Level 3 state champion titles in both vault and balance beam. “It was…wow…it’s hard
to find the words!” says Jordan of learning that she had placed first in two events. “I was happy and so surprised.

My whole family was surprised and told me how happy they were. I am keeping my medals in my mom’s room right now. We are moving soon and i want to be sure that they don’t get lost!”

State Champ 2The all around state champion for Level 7 was twelve-year-old Elaine Szep. “When I was going to the state meet,” reflects Elaine, “I wasn’t feeling excited or focused. I was actually feeling pretty mentally done. When we got there, I took a moment and prayed that I would focus and perform to the best of my ability. God obviously answered my prayer! It feels good to win. I never thought I was capable of it.”

Congratulations to these amazing ladies and to all thirteen of Emeth’s state champions!
