What is trunk or treat at EmethGym?

Trunk or treat is a popular alternative to traditional trick-or-treating. Volunteering parents set up shop in the parking lot, arrive early, then deck out their car’s open trunk in an appropriate ‘costume’ for the event. They range from simple to elaborate, but have one thing in common: bags, boxes, or baskets full of candy to give out to all the kids!

Why add trunk or treat to your favorite fall activities?

  • One Location: No traveling from house to house.

  • Safe, kid-friendly environment. This is a by-parents-for-kids activity which offers a safer alternative to other not-so-friendly options out there. Trunks are decorated in appropriate ‘costumes’ that are fun and not intended to scare, but to delight the young kids who visit each vehicle.

  • Meet the ‘trunkers’! Meet the people who are handing out candy to your kids! ‘Trunkers’ are like friendly neighbors. Many have their own kids dressed as part of their chosen theme and love to meet other kids and families. You may even make some new friends!

  • Outdoor activities and open gym play time! EmethGym offers more than just a safe Halloween experience. Enjoy outside activities and come inside to play in our 12,000 sq. ft. gym packed with bars, beams, warped and rock walls, foam pits, trampolines, and so much more!

  • Everything is FREE!

Trunk or Treat is a FREE family event, but requires pre-registration so we can adequately staff Open Gym with our awesome coaches!
