Eighteen-year-old high school senior Taylor Prince is Emeth’s Student of the Month for May. Taylor, who practiced with the Emeth
girls’ team for the last time earlier this month, has been in and out of the gym for as long as she can remember.”Gymnastics has been a part of my life for my whole life,” says Taylor, who has spent the past six years on team.

“I tried a lot of  different sports when I was younger, but I really wasn’t very good at any of them. I kept coming back to gymnastics.
I don’t think it was necessarily the sport that brought me back. It was the people and the environment that made me successful. It wasn’t long before my life started revolving around Emeth. I always wanted to be here.”Although this 2011 bars and beam state champion has concluded her competitive career, Emeth is still going to be a big part of her life. She is going to be coaching full time beginning this summer and will be in charge of the girls’ progressional classes.

“I love coaching,” says Taylor. “I like kids, and I am honored to be  part of their lives as someone they can look up to. When a student gets a new skill for the first time – well, it’s just great being a part of that!”
“I’ve enjoyed my time as an athlete at Emeth, and I’m looking forward coaching more now,” says Taylor. “I especially want to thank Heather and Nikki for welcoming me, believing in me, and letting me be such a big part of what is going on here at Emeth!”

Congratulations to Taylor for a phenomenal career as an athlete here at Emeth! We are excited to welcome you as a full time coach!
