Important Changes for the 2014-2015 Team Year

We are well into planning our next year, including schedules, policy updates, etc. We plan our whole competitive year carefully in advance to provide the best education and training for our team athletes, and want you to understand our changes so that you can commit with confidence.

We will provide finalized updated policies for families committing to the 2014-15 Year before the May deadline, but we wanted to give you an idea of some of the notable changes we are making.

NEW: Training Seasons

We are formalizing the fact that we make notable changes to practice schedules three times per year. We will publish practice schedules well in advance. The three training seasons are:

  • Summer: June 9 – August 15, 2014

  • Fall: August 25 – December, 2014

  • Spring: January – June 6, 2015

See  Tentative Summer and Fall Training Seasons and Tuition.

NEW: Team Membership

We are changing how we manage competition fees- please read carefully.

  • IN THE PAST: We added the costs of your athlete’s actual meet entry fees with the expenses Emeth incurs to transport coaches to meets, etc. and divided this into a series of monthly payments for your “Comp Fees”.

For the 2014-2015 Year:

We are dividing what we charge for competition fees into two separate parts:

  • $220 Athlete Emeth Team Membership (due June 1st, 2014):

    • This includes the direct expenses Emeth incurs for your athlete to compete at meets throughout the year. (coach travel expenses, team meet entry fees, etc.)

  • Individual Athlete Entry Fees – due at a deadline prior to each competition:

    • This is what the host club actually charges for your athlete to be entered in the meet. (ex: Milky Way 2014: $50 for Level 2s, $70 for Levels 3-10 & Xcel)

    • See Estimated Individual Competition Fees sheet for details on your athlete’s level.

  • FAQs

    • The Athlete Emeth Team Membership:

      1. Is per athlete

      2. Is not discounted or prorated for siblings, late year enrollment, or other reasons.

      3. Is required by all athletes training with our team.

      4. Emeth Family Membership ($50 value) is given for free to any family with one or more athletes on team.
