Heather is a safety-certified Professional Member of USA Gymnastics, and is co-owner of Emeth Gymnastics along with her husband, Jim Leshovsky. Heather began her gymnastics involvement when she was young and was a competitive gymnast for 6 years. In Fall of 1999, Heather began the Emeth Gymnastics program by teaching classes at a church building Middlefield. In Fall of 2001 Emeth moved to Burton, where it continued to grow as a program. The 2003-2004 season was the first year that Emeth had a girls’ gymnastics team, and that year the team earned the title of Level 4 State Champions! In 2005 Heather met and married Jim and since then has owned and operated Emeth Gymnastics together with him. In 2006 they moved Emeth Gymnastics to Middlefield and became the largest gymnastics facility in Geauga County. A competitive boys team was added in the 2007-2008 season, and did extremely well in their first year, winning first place in the North East Ohio Boys Gymnastics League Championships that year. Heather’s coaching certifications include KAT certification (Kinder Accreditation for Teachers), and MELPD certification (Movement Education and Lesson Plan Development). Heather regularly attends State, Regional, and National USA Gymnastics Congresses, and has received training in spotting, skill progressions, choreography, sports psychology, competitive, TOPS, and Elite coaching from many of our country’s highest level Elite and Olympic coaches.
