About Optional A & B

Optional competition allows coaches and gymnasts to choose which specific skills they compete on each event and allow them to choose their own floor music. This allows them to showcase their strongest talents. USAG optional competition levels include Level 6, Level 7, Level 8, Level 9 and Level 10 of the USAG Junior Olympic program. Gold, Platinum and Diamond level USAG Xcel gymnasts also practice as part of this grouping, for more information on Xcel at Emeth.

At Emeth the Option A and B teams are grouped together for practices. The 3 day a week gymnasts will practice 2 days a week together, and on the 3 day all practice with the Optional C group.
