“Gymnastics is challenging and I get to have lots of fun!”
Shelby started gymnastics at Emeth when she was 5 years old.
“Shelby has been taking gymnastics at Emeth since she was 5 years old. When I took her to her first class I was nervous that she would not talk because she was very shy. To my surprise it only took Mr. Jim about 30 seconds to talk to her, and she could not wait to go back again!”
“Shelby is 9 & 1/2 years old now, and in this short time she has been involved at Emeth she has learned so many things that will carry over into her life forever. Emeth’s mission statement is “Building True Character Through Gymnastics.” I have seen many qualities in Shelby that I contribute to that statement. Gymnastics requires a great deal of concentration,
“Emeth’s mission of ‘Building True Character’ has helped Shelby in many parts of her life”
and she has also carried that concentration over into her school work. She has been an honor student since joining the team. It is also physically demanding, but the encouragement that she receives from all the coach’s contributes to her confidence today. She has such a positive attitude, and discipline that she did not have before.”
“If you were to ask Shelby what she loves the most about gymnastics, she will tell you she loves being with her friends and it’s just plain fun. But it is so much more than that, she is a strong, outgoing confident young girl that is learning life long skills at Emeth.”

Shelby is just one of the real stories of why Emeth exists. Spending time with kids and training both their bodies and minds for life is what our coaches do best!
